Keep Calm And Wait for shafā‘ah
Shaykh Ibn Arabi (q) said:
“Rasūlullāh ﷺ informed us that he would be the first to intercede and the first to have his intercession (shafā‘ah) accepted on the day of judgement out of sympathy for us— so that we can be relieved from fatiguing ourselves by running from Prophet to Prophet on that Great Day.
Every one of them will say— “Myself myself! (nafsi nafsi). I am only concerned with myself on this day!”
So he ﷺ wanted to make us aware of his station on the Day of Standing so that we remain relaxed in our places (patiently waiting) until his ﷺ turn comes and he ﷺ says— “I am for it, I am for it (the Shafā‘ah).”
So every person who did not hear this Hadith, or they heard it but forgot it due to the terrors on the place of standing— then it is inevitable that they will become fatigued and run from Prophet to Prophet.
This is different from the one who hears the Hadith and it remains with him till the Day of Judgement and he does not forget it. Surely, he will not become fatigued (and will remain calm).”
