The Prophet’s ﷺ Favourite Style Of Recitation

Shaykh Salih Al Muriy رحمه الله was a renowned reciter in Busra who was famous for his emotional style of recitation that was full of sadnesss.

On one occasion, Shaykh Salih Al Muriy said, “I recited to the Prophet ﷺ in my dream and he said to me:

‘O Salih, this is indeed recitation… but where is the crying? Where are the tears?'”
